The assessment for the course is on day 4, if you haven’t finished the learning prior to this you have the option to attend an alternative assessment to do the theory.

You could walk up to 6 miles throughout the 2 days interspersed with practical drills & classroom learning so if you are regularly out walking you should be fine!
If you are unwell and provide us with a doctors letter we are happy to transfer you to another course for no charge.
We provide you with a timetable and clear guidance on what you need to bring with you. The key is comfort and waterproof clothes so you can get the best out of the training whatever the weather does!
We can provide the whole course paper based for no additional charge or you can have the online and purchase a manual at an additional cost.
If for any reason you don’t pass you will be given feedback, have a call from the tutor to answer any questions and can then reattend an assessment day, you only have to redo any elements you haven’t passed.

As a YMCA centre we have procedures in place to ensure all candidates get access to any special measures they are entitled to if you put a disability on your booking form a tutor will be in touch to talk through your requirements. Alternatively if you would rather do this first let us know and we can arrange a call for you.
If you need to move to a different course you would need to pay a transfer fee if short notice (booking terms available).
