Tai Chi Movement for Wellbeing and Walking

Tai chi movement for wellbeing and walking

We are delighted to be able to offer our Instructors and Leaders the ability to deliver a unique sequence of Tai Chi movements within our outdoor walking based sessions. This partnership with TMW is part of our commitment to developing holistic Instructors who can really harness the power of nature, movement and mindfulness.

Tai Chi Movements for Wellbeing (TMW) invites the participant to a feeling of wellbeing and wholeness through graceful, poetic, mindful movements. Taken from the traditions of Tai Chi & Chi Kung but without the complexity of these traditional forms, TMW is the perfect complement to a Nordic Walk.

In this 2 day module, you will be introduced to a specific sequence of Tai Chi Movements for Wellbeing for Nordic Walking Instructors, to be offered as part of a Nordic Walk. On Day One you will learn the sequence and become familiar with the principles and core understandings that underpin it. Day Two will focus on revision of the movements, input on leading the sequence and teaching practice.

On successful completion of this module, you will be qualified to lead this TMW Sequence for Nordic Walkers as part of a Nordic Walk. You will not, however, be qualified to lead stand-alone classes in Tai Chi Movements for Wellbeing although completion of the full 8 day training will be available.
